n8n
The SociaHive community node for n8n. Schedule posts, find posting slots, upload media, and trigger on post events.
The n8n-nodes-sociahive community node adds two nodes to n8n:
- SociaHive, an action node: create a post (now, at a time, or in the next free posting slot), get a post, find the next free posting slot, and upload an image or video.
- SociaHive Trigger, which starts a workflow when a post is published, fails, gets a client review decision, or fires a plug.
Install
In n8n, open Settings → Community nodes → Install and enter n8n-nodes-sociahive. The node is on npm; it is not verified by n8n yet, so n8n Cloud may not list it.
Then add a SociaHive API credential with an API key from Settings → API keys in SociaHive. The key needs the posts, accounts and webhooks scopes.
Webhook events are delivered while your plan includes API access (the free trial and every paid plan). The trigger counts toward your plan's webhook limit.
Actions
| Resource | Operation | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Post | Create | Creates a post on the picked accounts. When: save as draft, publish now, at a time, or in the next free posting slot. |
| Post | Get | Returns a post and its publish status. |
| Posting slot | Find next | Returns the next weekly posting time of the accounts with nothing scheduled (at, slot_id, timezone). It is held for 10 minutes. |
| Media | Upload | Uploads a binary file (also added to your media library) or copies a public URL. Returns public_url to use in a post. |
Trigger events
| Event | When |
|---|---|
Post published (post.published) | A scheduled post went live on one platform. A post on three platforms sends three events. |
Post failed (post.failed) | A scheduled post could not be published on one platform. |
Post review decision (post.review_decision) | A client approved a post, asked for changes or commented on a review link. |
Post plug fired (post.plug_fired) | A plug on a post fired (a repost or a comment). |
When the workflow is activated, the trigger creates a webhook subscription in SociaHive (integration_type: n8n); deactivating it deletes the subscription. Each delivery's X-SociaHive-Signature is checked against the subscription's signing secret, and unsigned or stale deliveries are refused with 401. The node outputs the delivery body: id, event, timestamp, data. See Webhooks for the data fields of each event.
Set Account IDs to receive only events about some connected accounts.
