Client invite links
Send a client a link to connect their own social accounts into one of your account groups, without a SociaHive account.
A client invite link lets a client connect their own accounts to your workspace. They open the link, pick a platform, sign in on that platform's own consent screen, and the account lands in the account group you chose. They do not need a SociaHive account and never see your other accounts.
Client invite links are on the Studio, Pro and Agency plans.
How a link works
- Make a link from Connected accounts → Groups → Invite client, the API, the CLI or your AI assistant.
- A link works for 7 days, or until you turn it off.
- The link is shown once, when you make it. Copy it then; make another link if you lose it.
- A link offers the platforms you pick: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (personal profiles), Pinterest and X.
- A link adds at most the number of accounts you set (1 to 50, default 5). Each account counts toward your plan's account limit; when your plan is full, the client sees a plain message and nothing is connected.
- An account that is already connected to another SociaHive user is refused, never moved.
- You get a notification each time your client connects an account.
- Your client should open the link while signed out of SociaHive (or in a private window). A browser signed in as someone else is told so, and nothing is connected.
API
Returns the invite with its url (once). GET /api/v1/client-invites[?group_id=] lists invites with their state (active, used_up, expired, revoked) and the accounts they added. DELETE /api/v1/client-invites?invite_id= turns one off; accounts it already added stay connected. Scopes: accounts:read, accounts:write.
CLI
clients invite asks to confirm before it makes the link; --yes skips the ask.
AI assistant
Ask "send Acme Bakery a link to connect their Instagram". The assistant uses create_client_invite (it asks you to confirm first) and list_client_invites.
